Every time we hear something new from enigmatic producer Vanilla, we always wish the same thing: that he released more music. Needless to say, the fact that he's released a free, brand-new 17-track project, Origin, completely out of the blue today, is quite the wonderful surprise. Vanilla is a producer that you could call a jack-of-all-trades. The guy can sample anything and everything and make it sound incredible, and his introspective, jazz-laced instrumentals, funk-driven, sunlit tunes, and star-gazing hip-hop works are some that are all too easy to love. If you've been missing a body of work to really lose yourself into lately, you're absolutely going to be able to with every track here.
