There comes a time when a word's original meaning simply isn't serviceable enough, and we need to add a new meaning to it. For Tim Bettinson's musical project, Vancouver Sleep Clinic, simply calling his music "ethereal" is not nearly enough. With the amount of energy and emotion thats exuded from his efforts, we need more intense adjectives to describe his sound, and, to be honest, there's never going to be enough to accurately and justifiably detail what he creates. So let's forget all that, and let the music do the talking to your higher sense of self, because as he's already displayed on the previously released "Flaws", "Collapse" and "Vapour", he's captured a sound that is astoundingly serene. Although the Winter EP was released back on March 5th, we're here to shine some light on the two new tracks that were not released ahead of time, so that you can better get a sense of what you've missed in case you let this EP slip you by. It's to no surprise with "Stakes" and "Rebirth" that we find both of these new tracks on the same level as the ones that preceded them, and, together, they comprise an EP that rests comfortably atop a must-hear level.
