We often get excited about brand-new acts, but when Vallis Alps released their self-titled EP nearly two years ago, we weren't just excited, but instantly obsessed. The Sydney duo, consisting of vocalist Parissa Tosif and producer David Ansari, created the sort of shimmering indie-electro-pop that not only stood out from the crowd, but also possessed an extremely rare sort of magical quality, and we've liked it a lot. We've been (unsuccessfully) trying to stay patient during their painfully long musical hiatus, and their remix of Troye Sivan's "Ease" was certainly a nice treat. Today, though, they're finally giving us a brand-new original track, "Fading", and, awesomely, it's a wonderful progression of what they presented on their EP. It's safe to say that these new sounds have been worth the wait, and, while we aren't sure when we can expect more music from them, we're wholeheartedly hoping this is the start of another great project coming soon.
