Valery Gore is one of Canada's latest musical exports, and she's looking to rise above the local scene in Toronto. Based on what we're hearing thus far from her art, too, we can say unquestionably that she's one worth getting excited about, and because the singer-songwriter is gearing up to release an album that's been four years in the making (according to Stereogum), we can no doubt expect some pretty incredible sounds to emerge. Gore led off the new album with her first single, "Amsterdam", last month, but grabbing our attention today is the second released track, "With The Future", that's showcasing her unique angle on electronic-pop with an incomparable sound that sees glitchy synth sounds and erratic arrangements blended with her airy vocals. The juxtaposition of the two different timbres is something to truly behold, and we've no doubts that when Idols In The Dark Heart (her new, alluded-to album) drops September 9th, that it'll be full of pleasant sonic surprises like this.
