Back in May, we unearthed Valentin Hansen, a boundlessly creative German talent who excels across several artistic fields. He stunned us with his debut, "FOOL", and, now, he's returned with a minimal work titled "Killing A Friend". Valentin carries the song with his intricate, distinctively altered vocal, and they are supplemented by cleverly arranged instrumentation as well. This isn't the kind of music that can really be critiqued; it's just pure expression, and it is intensely refreshing in this day and age.
