There are so, so many musical gems hidden beneath the surface today, and each time we find one—especially one of the caliber of Uquine’s “Voyager"—we remember why it is that we do what we do. Uquine, a producer based out of the UK, has brought to us here a blissful piece of electronic which is really quite captivating as well. The track’s moniker is derived from NASA’s Voyager 2 probe, and it seems that the two efforts carry with them one common goal: taking us to uncharted space. “Voyager” indeed lets us explore by employing deep sections of synths and silky vocals which deliver an ambient, stunning sound. It picks up a subtle groove as it goes along, too, which ultimately unveils the immense promise harbored in the young producer and gives us something to tightly grasp on to until another release is pushed through.
