UNKNWN (formerly "Unknown") is a relatively new indie-electronic duo consisting of producer/singer Gemma Dunleavy and beatmaker Chris Hanna, and, despite what their moniker may suggest, they've a sound that's destined to the opposite of obscurity. "BBY" is the name of it, and it comes as the first part of a double-sided release by the pair. We can't wait to get our ears on that next track, either, not with the promising sound "BBY" so effortless exudes. It's elegant, but decidedly desolate, too, like a sad reality realized and thereafter accepted. Emotions jog gently on the track, and Hanna's brooding background sound has much to do with that fact. Gemma's vocals glide atop the atmospheric production, and its serene listenability overall is something we'd love to see not only in the forthcoming "Devil", but in other, future works of theirs as well.
