We were exposed recently to Twinztrack through their "Purple Hearts" remix, but weren't ever introduced in a formal sense to the young and talented French production team. Their repertoire deserves much more attention than the music world has given it, though, and we hope to remedy that with this illumination. The duo has an obvious love for classic hip-hop instrumentals, and they've also a knack for finding great samples and manipulating them delectably, which you'll find out soon enough for yourself. The first track below, "Captain Biggie", juxtapositions upbeat, summery guitar-based hip-hop instrumentals and Biggie's intensely dark lyrics that somehow still manage to put a (somewhat malicious) smile on a listener's face. Subsequentl,y you'll hear Twinztrack tame the twisting sounds of Cashmere Cat into a powerful hip-hop beat, which is not a simple feat. And after these two efforts, we know you'll be wanting to hear more, so we've provided two more highlights immediately following, but we would still advise you to follow these lads on all social media platforms, as they are cranking out quality at a rate most can't keep up with.
