Parisian duo twinsmatic burst onto the scene almost two years ago with a rather pristine take on trap and electronic as a whole, breathing in new life into several big-name artists' work, and in turn, gaining quite a prestigious status in the ever-escalating beatmaking sphere. Since we've only witnessed several reworks from the act, however, we were quite unsure what to expect when we discovered they had an EP on the horizon (sounds from last night), but our unsureness was certainly put to rest during our voyage on its opening track, "Sequential". With absolutely no intention to overpower listeners, “Sequential's” unwinding backbone allows for protracted additions, the likes of which include mirroring vocals, echoing snares, and gorgeously altering kick and tom sequences to guide and strengthen the piece throughout. With the maturation of the track, subtle additions make their way in and grow to be more apparent as they progress, engendering a rather uncharacteristic (in comparison to their remixes) yet alluring firmament that will have you undeniably immersed after the first listen. The duo's EP is set to drop on the 3rd of November in the UK (it's already available in the US on iTunes), so make sure you keep an eye and ear out for it.
