Another one of my favourite 2011 releases that received far too little attention, the self-titled debut album from Twerps - who hail from Melbourne, Australia - has that breezy, reverb-laced sound that's perfect for this time of year. This album is filled with excellent melodies, excellent guitar riffs, and excellent lyrics that will get stuck in your head. Their music harkens back to a simpler sound, but sometimes that's exactly what you need. Listen to "Dreamin" (the standout track in my opinion and one of the songs that simply refuses to leave my playlist) and "Don't Be Surprised" below to get a sample of their album.
