Tundra

Tiger

The amount of talent in the UK right now is simply mind-boggling. It seems we discover a new British talent almost every day, and as the quantity of UK artists increases, the music's quality follows a similarly ascending trend. So, after taking a listen to Tundra’s phenomenal new effort, “Tiger”, we weren’t exactly shocked to learn that they’re a duo from the area, but we were definitely taken aback by the creativity they've instilled in the piece. Harrison and Fred, the two collaborators behind Tundra, have been making music together since before their teenage years, and the resulting chemistry is unmistakeable; the production, mainly featuring dark synths and heavy bass alongside seductive vocals, together mesh into a totally distinct, hauntingly alluring vibe. Throughout the effort, one main electronic melody prevails while a multitude of chill-inducing nuances scatter about the crisp sonic atmosphere. The chorus features a glowing spectrum of synths beneath the vocalist's spine-chilling croon, amounting to a sound that is absolutely infectious. With “Tiger", Tundra has already firmly established a sound of their own, and, in doing so, they've revealed a massive amount of potential. Whether it's the obscure production, the provocative vocals, or the song’s paradoxical vibe, there's something about Tundra’s second-ever release that gives us a feeling the duo has something larger in the works.
