The rise of Roosevelt can be summarized by two words: consistent quality. Without one wrong move yet, Marius Lauber (Roosevelt) has dropped song after song in sporadic fashion, fueling our obsession with each subsequent release. Today, the German producer's spotless streak continues with his exotic twist on Truls' pop anthem, "Out Of Yourself". If you don't know who Truls is, hopefully we can clear things up for you: he's a Norwegian artist that released his debut album, TRVLS, a little over six months ago, but, unfortunately, only made the work available in Norway. Roosevelt sets the stage for an energetic remake here with an array of electronic material fluttering around a fast-paced beat, and he wastes no time doing so, quickly building on the foundation by layering tropical bongo percussion and sanguine synths. The original's catchy guitar riff slowly drifts onto the scene, only to be stripped away to showcase Truls Heggero's addictive falsetto. From there, the remix evolves into a varying mesh of Truls' catchy chorus and Roosevelt's incredible production, both of which combine to create an optimistic jam ideal for springtime cruising.
