Tristan Kenneth is like an older, more refined, and more sensual-sounding Charlie Puth and The Weeknd combined, and that's certainly something given the recent successes of the pair. For five months (at least), this new Portland, Oregon, native has been releasing works of different varieties on his SoundCloud page, though, but, just recently, his second-to-last track, "Electricity", really reached out and grabbed us tight. The track's a darker, mystical-sounding ode to human attraction, and over what appears to be production from Stwo, Tristan really just shines. His falsetto is faultless, his overall cadence is great, and his vocal pacing throughout the track is just on another level. He gives his stimulating words life by letting them breathe, and the tremendous way in which he casts them out will have many ears on him starting from this very point. Listen to his work now.
