The fledgling beginnings of a new band can be an exciting and tumultuous time, and as far as they go, you could do a lot worse than that of new Los Angeles act Transviolet. The previous two months have seen the band release their debut single, “Girls Your Age”, trailed closely by their follow-up, “Bloodstream”, and they’ve also seen remixes by the likes of Twin Shadow and Pink Slip and received twitter shout-outs by pop heavyweights Katy Perry and Harry Styles. The best way to capitalize on this enviable position is no doubt to continue putting out strong singles, and that's exactly what they're doing with the release of brand-new track “New Bohemia”. As with their previous works, the production is imbued with a sleek and vivacious energy. The composed synth arrangements are punctuated by sharp, striking percussion, and the vocals captivate through their glorious harmony and choral hooks. This piece certainly tightens their grip on their torch that's leading the way through the convoluted pop landscape, and with their debut EP out tomorrow, that flame should only be getting hotter from her on out.
