This is as new as new gets, people. We've had a fair number of debut tracks this week, but we're especially excited about this Los Angeles songwriter's debut single, "Heavy Shoulders". TRACE is the individual behind the track, and despite her fresh nature, she's sounding as polished as some of the biggest names out there. Right away, you'll pick up whiffs of stars like BANKS and Sylvan Esso in her lyrics and delivery, but don't think at all that TRACE isn't creatively self-sustained. TRACE is very much the definition of a hidden gem, and finding her before she blew up was like stumbling upon some sort of buried sonic treasure chest. "Heavy Shoulders" is just the first single from her debut EP, too, so if you're enjoying this track, keep a sharp eye out for even more awesome music in the near future.
