In 2013, we saw Lorde reach superstar-status, and now in 2014, you can expect Tove Lo to reach the same heights. Although Tove Lo does not have her equivalent to "Royals" burning up the charts right now, it's only a matter of time before radios get the green light to play "Habits", "Out Of Mind", or "Not On Drugs". And once they do, it's game over, because as far as well-executed pop music goes, Tove Lo is one of the best we've seen in years. Tove Lo is not championing the typical paper bag-pop that can be compared to the Britney Spears' or Christina Aguilera's of the world; rather, her material is truth-laden, authentic music that's been filtered through experiences of heartbreak, love, and life from the perspective of a Swedish girl that calls it how she sees it. We're excited to be keeping up with Tove Lo as a result of her respectable sound, and with her breaking into the mainstream, pop music is in a very good place in 2014.
