There isn't much that we can tell you about the Santa Cruz local, Totoake. We like to do a little research when we feature artists, but with a minimalistic Bandcamp, a Facebook page created a few weeks ago, and only four tweets to his name, he has made the process a little onerous. What we can tell you with certainty is that Totoake does lo-fi garage pop damn well. The sun-drenched guitars and fuzzy vocals of "Make It Work" deftly encapsulate the summery locale from which it was created, and imbue all the qualities of an indie classic.
