Artistic merit is not enough to get things heard these days, and that's a damn shame. There are acts like Tora who make incredibly quality music, yet, since they are not necessarily the most buzzing act, their amazing music can sometimes go unheard. That's wrong, and they deserve to be put into that category of "must-hear" regardless of their perceived standing outside in music, itself. So, why do we bring this act up at all and talk about them in this light? Well, their debut album, Take A Rest, just came out, and it shows what musical brilliance they have. From their previously released, extremely slept-on "Another Case" to new favorites "Love Life" and "Blame", the tracks on the album coalesce into what we'd call a project that leads rather than follows, and, suffice it to say that if you like electronic-soul at all, this thirteen-track body of work is for you. You can hear our highlights below/the project on Spotify now.
