Eddie Chacon said, "I've attended many funerals in my life, and I always think the same thing: Any day above ground is a good day". The newest track from Danish producer, Tomas Barfod, featuring vocals from Eddie Chacon, is a chilling release in which Chacon seems to get his message across not only through his lyrics, but also through Barfod's instrumentation. A number of haunting and fuzzy electronic sounds overlaid with Chacon's haunting whipser open up the track, and they are likely to send chills down your spine. The sonic material grows and progresses as the effort unravels, twisting and turning until its potential is fully released in the chorus. The hook is somewhat ironic in itself; one could imagine Chacon walking through a dark, cold forrest that is constantly reminding him of the imminence of death, but Chacon is trying to keep his spirits up whilst hopefully whispering, "I'm gonna be happy". It's a poignant affair, to be sure, and one we definitely recommend spending some time with.
