Tropical House has been building steam this past year with producers like Kygo, Thomas Jack, and Viceroy all building massive followings in the blog world, but it's the Swedish artist, Tobtok, who's going to be basking in the limelight this week with his new, ultra-sunny dance track titled, "Savanna." Like its contemporaries, it's been purpose-built to improve your mood no matter what the weather looks like outside, and the beat is both bouncy and mellow in order serve as both a dance-floor filler, and a weekend chill-out track. Where Tobtok breaks from tradition, though, is in his ability to incorporate a whole host of other analog samples, and then make them fit right in to give the whole package a very orchestral feel. The guitar riffs that wander over the beat between hooks serve as the perfect change of pace and take "Savanna" into "must hear" territory. Tobtok has been putting out some great original work over the last three years, but "Savanna" is his first foray into the more lighthearted side of dance music, and with such a good start, we're excited to see where he goes next with his sound.
