This remix has only been out for three days and already it's starting to look like it's going to be one of this month's must-listen-to tracks. Jacuzzi has been putting out noteworthy music for the past six months or so, but everybody really started taking notice when his remix of Santigold's "Disparate Youth" took off in a big way; and his work has been steadily growing in popularity ever since. With this latest effort, we see his sound developing into something much more spartan, and without any extra layers competing for attention with the bones of the track, you're instantly impressed by the efficiency with which he makes everything hit so hard. Listen closely for where the intro would normally transition into a more full-bodied sound at the drop. Instead of going for the obvious by taking on more textures, he's gone the road less traveled and stripped away a lot of the peripheral noise. What's left is an absolutely killer beat that's got a style all its own, and with such a strong foundation to work off of, he's found a perfect outlet for the less-is-more approach.
