We're fiends for that soft and silky R&B sound, and Tinashe's newest mixtape, Black Water, is the perfect fix for us. Today, the 20-year-old LA singer released her first solo project since Riverie in 2012, directly after signing to RCA. She accompanied the new mixtape with a short re-introductory video showcasing the soul-melting track, "Vulnerable" featuring rapper, Travi$ Scott. Best described as an Aaliyah x Cassie offspring, her sultry vibe and buttery smooth voice will score your next slow grind, indefinitely. She's like the female equivalent of The Weeknd, before he got weird. The mixtape features production from Boi-1da, Ryan Hemsworth, Illmind, Legacy, Dev Hynes, Tinsashe herself, and more. I truly think Tinashe could take the reign as the new alt-R&B princess given the right amount of punch, but only time will tell as she is currently working on her debut studio album which is slated for early 2014 via RCA/Sony.
