Tigerz — Heartbeats

Tigerz

Heartbeats

Although Australia is undoubtedly the epicenter of upcoming producers, France definitely exports more than their fair share of innovative electronic music, too. Today, it look like there's another big player emerging for the latter country, and, as a matter of fact, we find it necessary to officially introduce his work to you. So, without rambling a second longer, we're ecstatic to formally unveil Tigerz. With relative frequency, we like to remind everyone that style is such an important thing to possess as an artist, and, suffice it to say that Tigerz is absolutely dripping with it in his own smooth, wavy, original way. His internet presence began a little over a year ago, and ever since then, he's dropped off a fairly sufficient number of remixes and originals, but it's his debut EP, The Sparkle, a collection of three carefully constructed, ingeniously masterminded tracks, that's acting as the best showcase of his production prowess. The first track, "The Sparkle", is an awe-inspiring array of shape-shifting synths, smooth percussion, electronic bits, vocal chops, and humbling soundscapes. If you happened to dig his first track, then you'll definitely be a huge fan of the next song on the EP, "Night Vision", which possesses a similar vibe as the first, which is created by bubbling synths, fluttering electronic, and soulful vocal chops. However, if these two didn't quite float your boat (or even if they did), then you might enjoy the smoother sounds of "Loose You", which features warm guitar strums, a deep bass line, a fluid drum kit, and some occasional sonic flickering, which adds a bit of a flair to the track. Asking if you've heard "Latch" by Disclosure and Sam Smith (especially after a just-posted cover of the track) is basically a rhetorical question nowadays, but regardless of its immense fame, we're still hearing producers twist the song in brilliant new forms, and that's exactly what Tigerz has done here. With some tropical percussion and incredible synths, the French producer has definitely pulled off a completely original interpretation of the international hit, a feat that's certainly becoming harder and harder to do at this point. Finally, the last Tigerz offering we have for you is "Heartbeats", which he released through the independent Paris-based label, Rooftops Horizon. The song is light as a feather, presenting an airy sound behind some glistening synths and high-pitched vocal chops. We love it, and we think that as long as Tigerz maintains his fantastic sound, this should be his first of many appearances on HD, and elsewhere.
