After gaining a massive amount of attention for his debut EP, School Night, the New Zealand newcomer and so-called "next Lorde", Thomston, returns to reaffirm his buzz with his newest offering, "Anaesthetic". On the effort, the up-and-comer avoids the over-the-top pop route in favor of a soon-to-be recognizable vocal cadence, situating it all atop some bubbling, downtempo production. Suffice it to say that the track will sell the the kid to you (if you weren't already sold by his EP), so if there's any lingering doubts about the potential of his sound, take one listen to "Anaesthetic", and eliminate them immediately.
