Thee Zac Monson — Say So Much

Thee Zac Monson

Say So Much

This track is the very definition of a hidden gem (and we know we use that term on frequent occasion). The Ellie Goulding sampling is the perfect finishing touch to go with the relaxed bass lines and beats employed, but when Thee Zac Monson starts chopping things up, the track goes from ordinary to special in a very big way. Nothing about the track is particularly high-strung, but despite it's laid-back sound, the song's chord progressions and polyrhythmic percussion are the perfect way to get your head bobbing. It's one of those listening experiences that sort of sneaks up on you. The intro is relatively sparse, and is vaguely reminiscent of a lot of other tracks we've heard over the years, but it slowly evolves into something else entirely, and by the time it's won you over, you're really not sure how it happened. Thee Zac Monson has been releasing beats and original tracks for over two years now, but this may just be his most successful one yet, and with such a solid sound, we'll be keeping an eye on his future work for sure.
