The Weeknd is not resting on his laurels. After releasing new single "Starboy" last week, he has decided to capitalize on his momentum with the much more experimental "False Alarm". This one feels more aligned with the host of '80s influences Tesfaye mentioned in his album announcement interview with VMAN, and we're big, big fans of that. The lyrical content in "False Alarm" is routine fare for The Weekend, as he fixates on a woman enamored with excess. Things get interesting, however, in the chorus, where the sonic complexion go haywire, and Abel repeatedly screams the title of the track. The track definitely does mark a new direction for Tesfaye—one between Kissland on steroids and the inherent pop focus of Beauty Behind the Madness, and it has us extremely excited for the new album, which comes out November 25.
