As one of the artists atop the R&B world right now its going to be tough to stop Abel Tesfaye aka The Weekend from doing anything he wants. As we found out yesterday, the Portishead sample he used on "Belong To The World" was in fact not approved. Now that the song has already been released along with the video, the cat is out of the bag and you can smell the lawsuit coming down the hall. We're not really sure what the thinking is behind that, but if it allows us to hear a great song, there is really nothing to complain about from the listeners POV. Kiss Land drops tentatively on August 27th. UPDATE: Apparently there was no Portishead sampled used after all... UPDATE: The song is still good.
