Taking a slight turn from their last album Tomorrow People with regards to sonic attributes & direction, Seattle's preeminent rap group, The Physics, showcase a palpable taste for R&B and subtle synth-driven melodics on their third full-length album, Digital Wildlife. The theme of the album centers around the existential look at our society in the way the majority of us live out our lives in the digital rather than physical realm, and The Physics play off this odd direction we're currently living in through their music on the album. We sometimes forget about the weird augmented reality that is starting to form around us, and The Physics shed a mirror on this fact in a brilliant way on Digital Wildlife. Of cours,e you won't find the group alluding blatantly to such subjects all over the album; you need to simply understand that this is what the album is about, and let your thoughts lead where they must in a natural way. Start off with our favorites below, or just head over to SoundCloud to hear the rest of this album. Digital Wildlife will be available for purchase tomorrow.
