The Night VI's new songs are always good for a listen, and this latest release of theirs titled "Turn Your Light On Me" is no exception. It's got a slower cadence like "Heroine" did five months prior, and it's marked by a very distinct bit of rhythm guitar work in the hook. However, there's also something much more upbeat about this one, and we'd even go so far as to say it represents the best of what the band has to offer since their release of "Thinking of You" way back when. It's got the sonic optimism of "Wonderlust", but also the quiet thoughtfulness of "Fears"; in short, it's everything we love about the band. "Turn Your Light On Me" is the second track released from their yet-to-be-named EP, that's due out in September via Duly Noted Records, so until then, let this track hold you over.
