Doing a little digging into finding out more about The Magnetic North, you will find out that these guys are from a super tiny island at the farthest northern tip of Scotland called Orkney. Go ahead and look at google maps. Pretty cool — in a map geek kind of way. Now we know where you live really doesn't make your music any better, but it does add a bit of visualization to the overall feel of the band. Like for instance if you picture this band growing up in a isolated island, you kind of get the sense that this band would be influenced by big open fields, farm land and a bit of isolation from the outside world. We assume that leads to your music being a bit more introspective, spacey and even folky. While the song we are posting here isn't an original, you still get the sense of what we just talking about.
