The Landing describes their music as "Space Pop", and although we're not entirely sure what space-pop would normally sound like, the band's breakout track, "Anxieties", seems like as good a fit as any for categorization under that moniker. The intro is a muted blend of experimental electronic and tropical indie-pop, and as the track develops, everything settles into a nice groove that's not too haphazard, but still interesting enough to catch your attention as it floats amidst a sea of other indie tracks that are constantly vying for your attention these days. "Anxieties" never really gets near the hard-edged production style which has become so popular recently, but that's OK, because the way it makes everything sound like its being heard from underwater is impressive to say the least, and it makes for the perfect chill-out track.
