Amber Bain (The Japanese House) is pretty much doing everything as correctly as an artist can. She hasn't sacrificed her core sound despite gaining notoriety from it, she hasn't made a fool out of herself online, and she's been careful about putting her own image in front of her truly brilliant work. She gives no reason to hate on her, and that's pretty damn rare nowadays. She's a special one. The young Londoner has today released another track from her new Clean EP, and, like the title track that came before it last week, it's given us reason to love her more. It's a piece that sees help again from The 1975 members George Daniel and Matthew Healy, but that only adds to the shine of the piece—it does not detract at all from what Amber is trying to do. She's still as pure-sounding as she always is, and we even get to hear a little more upbeat energy out of her, too, with looping guitars and some joyous nuances throughout. "Cool Blue" is certainly a euphoric listen with all involved in it, and we can't wait to hear the rest of her looming body of work. It's sure to be glorious as all we've heard from her before.
