Aussie quintet The Griswolds are on one hell of a family vacation! Having just formed in February of last year the band has already lined up a strong list of musical accomplishments. Whether it is topping the charts of the youth alternative radio network Triple J in their native Australia, or inking a worldwide record deal with Wind-Up Records in the US, this baby band is definitely having a stellar trip! Their debut, Heart of a Lion EP is dare I say at the “heart” of it all… Leading off with the title track, “Heart of a Lion,” you find yourself under their spell with heart pounding rhythms and catchy swooning harmonies. Only to be followed by the debut single “Mississippi” which is an ethereal pop gem reminiscent of bands such as The Drums and Vampire Weekend, but with a distinct addicting quality of its own. The remainder of the four-track EP is just as enthralling, energetic, and eclectic and qualifies as one to be put on repeat!
