The Expendables

Prove It

Prove It has easily been one of the most anticipated albums for the last few years in the reggae/rock scene. Today the album finally dropped allowing us to relieve some music anxiety and finally hear the final product that is being produced by El Hefe of NOFX fame and Paul Leary who has worked with Slightly Stoopid. The production value on Prove It is a good step up from their debut album, Geoff's vocals are much clearer and fit much better in the mix than previous recordings. But to get to the point on the musical tip on the album I am not completely blown away by all the new material but I am also not left disappointed. After an intense session with this album I am left with 6 solid tracks that I for see having replay value. Standout tracks for me are Mind Control, Trying To Focus, How Many Times, Brother, Wells, and the awesome 16 minute jam session 2 Inch Dub. Tracks like Brother and Trying To Focus remind you how good this band is and has me looking forward to the next time I see these guys live. Get this album HERE.
