Prior to hearing "Dust It Off", this French-Finnish duo's 2011-released song, whilst watching the brilliant I Origins, a recently released movie (we recommend you watch it), we'd never heard of The Dø's music before. The track was placed beautifully within the flick, and immediately after we watched the aforementioned film, we went searching for their music. As it turns out, Dan Levy and Olivia Merilahti (The Dø) just released their third solo album, Shake Shook Shakem, and we can't get enough of it. Shake Shook Shaken is fantastically diverse and highly engaging, and when you listen through the twelve-track body of work, you can tell they've creativity abounding. From song to song, there's no boring overlapping of style, instrumentation, vocal cadence, or writing structures. The Dø are musicians through and through, and with the endless replay value of each individual track, there's much to absorb within the work.
