The Crest were apart of my early days of mp3 digging and were an essential part of the inspiration for the desire to spread good music out to people. The Crest are two emcees AD and Jack Cracker from Madison, Wisconsin with DJ Skrabble handling the cuts and Jayson Blair heading up the production. It was AD's album from 2002 'Misguided Recordings' that was the mind blowing material that had these guys blow up in my hometown. The word of these dudes spread like a wild fire. AD's raps and flow were like nothing anyone had have ever heard back in 2002. The Crest continued to drop quality music after Misguided Recordings with various compilations, albums and most recently with Cheerful Robots from last year.
