Between Majid Jordan, Abhi//Dijon, and The Code, our fix on bass-infused, melodically thick R&B is continually being satisfied, and adding to that today is the latest effort, "Gravity" from the latter UK-based duo that features rapper-of-the-minute, G-Eazy, who's still riding high from the success of These Things Happen. Like all The Code's tracks before this one, the sonic aesthetic is once again moody, foreboding, and bass-heavy, and it's the perfect backdrop for the billowing soul of the vocals to fester atop the punchy flair of the percussion. And, electing to keep his raps in line with the tempo of the production, G-Eazy's cough syrup-laced lines mix perfectly into the track, giving rise to its spectacular overall vibes. [via Clash]
