The Citrus Clouds

The Feeling

Surfacing three months ago with ambient, atmospheric remixes of Nas, Amerie, and Nelly Furtado tracks was the London-based collective, The Citrus Clouds, that, until now, kept it strictly to the production; but now with the release of their latest, "Fire Exits", we see the UK newcomers collaborating with the soon-to-be-large singer-songwriter, Bartoven, on what is quite the impressive example of their music-making prowess. What's clear upon listening to their previously released material is that the collective has a great ear for crafting elegant electronic that's laced with a multitude of lush sounds and absorbing melodies. What's employed on "Fire Exits" is no different, as we find a tropical-sounding blend of xylophones, percolating percussion, and thumping bass that's spearheaded by the alleviating vocals of Bartoven. Seeing that both of these acts are on the come up, what they've created here has no doubt risen the stock of both moving forward, so you best get familiar with them ASAP. We've featured below two of our favourite The Citrus Clouds remixes, in the event that "Fire Exits" has you wanting more. And if that's not enough for you, you can travel to their SoundCloud page to hear even more.
