We were introduced to The Careful Ones today through their first single to upcoming sophomore album, When We Were Younger, and we immediately were attracted to it, along with everything else of theirs we could find. And if their sophomore efforts ends up as good as their first, we will be in for an absolute treat. Their magic comes from their efforts as a group, but there is no doubt that the lead singer Joshua Michael Robinson steals the show in every track with his beautiful vocals and falsetto. Whether he's surrounded by a set of strings and background vocals like in "When We Were Younger", or minimal backing, just basic guitar and some well-suited stompy percussion like in "Revelry", his blissful voice shines in undeniable fashion.
