Electronic music can be so overwhelming nowadays, it seems like every producer is trying to find the hardest-hitting drums or the crunchiest wobbles in order to get their point across. Sometimes, we can forget that the best sounding tracks can also be the simplest ones, too, which is why we would like to introduce you to one of our newest discoveries: The Cancel. Admittedly, we're a little late on The Cancel, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they don't deserve to be heard in 2014. The best way to describe their tunes is as jazzy elevator music with a downtempo twist, which could come off to some as rather boring, but trust us when we say that they are much more than that. While lots of producers tend to stretch their tracks to around 5-6 minutes per, The Cancel keeps it short, concise, and straight to the point with their impeccable ear and smoothly driven beats. Old Gramatik fans may notice some similarities to his early "Beatz & Pieces" mixtapes, too, which were favorites of mine from back in the day. If you dig what you hear below, don't be hesitant to lend them your $5 so that the good tunes can continue flowing!
