After Indian Summer released an exceptional remix of “Tear it Down” yesterday, SAFIA had some large footsteps to follow. Where Indian Summer seemed to totally reinvent the track, SAFIA decided to take a bit of a different approach, toning down the vocal pitch while also softening the overall expression of sound. The rework flows fluently, never rushing, just inviting you to vibe, and the mellow beginning effortlessly transitions into somewhat of a laid-back moombah feel, one you can let take you on an imaginative trip into a reverie of sun-bathing on a floating raft, eyes closed, while listening to waves crash on the sand. So go buy some lemonade, put on that aloha shirt, and keep dreaming of summer while enjoying the relaxed sounds of SAFIA.
