Next in line for superstardom is the Aussie duo, The Aston Shuffle. Hopefully you're already familiar with their massive single, "Tear It Down", or one of its many remixes, but no need to stress if not, because if you get on board now, you'll still be among the first to listen to them before they hit it big. While many artists can find a straight path to fame by creating a couple catchy dance beats, The Aston Shuffle decided that they want more, so they spent over two years putting excessive effort into making an album that's truly influential. As said by Vance Musgrove (1/2 of The Aston Shuffle), what it really comes down to is the question, "Is it sick, or is it not?" To put it simply for Vance, yes, it's beyond sick. However, we love to dive into music and explore all of its incredible components, so that's exactly what we'll do with The Aston Shuffle's new album, Photographs, starting with the album's second track, "No Place Like Home". The electro-pop banger features vocals from HD-favorite, Kaelyn Behr (Styalz Fuego), and the result of their collaboration is colossal. Rarely do we ever encounter a song that has the depth of this one, but also the incredibly polished production; it's a euphoric roller coaster ride through layers upon layers of synths, percussion, vocals, bass, electronic elements, and the like. Basically, this song has everything it needs to get you out of your seat and onto the dance floor. At the same time, it also accomplishes The Aston Shuffle's goal of creating music that uniquely stands out from the giant mass of dance music. Although "Astronaut" is featured as a new song with Joel Compass, it's more of a remix than an original because of it's previous release on Compass' Astronaut EP. The song itself consists of a sensual combination of smooth synths and captivating vocals, perfect for cruising to with the bae. We have no idea why it's on the album, to be completely honest, but regardless, it's a great track. "Back & Forth" picks the pace back up afterwards, with its house-infusion that would be a hit at any club. Elizabeth Rose's stunning vocals are absolutely on point within the effort, as is the electo-house production.
