Back when The Acid first came out with their debut self-titled EP, nobody had any clue who they were. It wasn't until recently that we found out that they're lead by the vocals of Ry X (AUS), and assisted by the production of Adam Freeland (UK) and Steve Nalepa (LA). And though the mysteriousness of their identities is now gone, when it comes to their music, the fact remains that, when these guys get together under The Acid moniker, the music that's created is like nothing anybody has ever heard. Following where their debut EP left us off is the trio's newest track, "Creeper", that's weirder than anything that appeared on their first body of work. Over a droning backbone of pulsating synths and erratic percussion hits, The Acid creates a soundscape that doesn't seem destined for vocals at all. Amazingly though, when Ry X drops in his lines, all feels right in the weirdest of ways. There's a reason why this trio called themselves why they did, and it's with tracks like "Creeper", it's easy to hear why. Their debut album, Liminal, is out June 2nd.
