We've managed to come across Texada, a solo project from Vancouver-based Hayley Rita McLean today, and from what we've listened to from her latest EP, her sound is one that is pretty special overall. "All My Life" and "Close Your Eyes For This" are our favourite cuts being shared from the aforementioned body of work, and we have them shared with you here. Although from a quick glance the work may seem to possess a generic sound bound to be dismissed, Texada's smooth-as-silk vocals and cohesive, synth-filled production quickly tells otherwise. The different components layer on and work in harmony with the specific set of arrangements she has, and the vibes she's able to create are pretty hard to ignore. We're fans.
