Tev is a fresh-faced, 18-year-old producer from Rotterdam who's only released three tracks on his SoundCloud account thus far, and, as our first time picking up on the producer, we're starting with his latest work, "Acid Love", to get you acquainted. The track features additional production work from Steven Sover and vocals from newcomer Lem Lem (no, we have no idea who they are), and it appears that the track is his most popular to date (it's amassed over 60,000 plays on the site). The popularity is for good reason, though; "Acid Love" is the most impressive work he's released yet, and it's filled with potential. The sound on "Acid Love" is a brazen display of opposites. On one hand, he's got hard-hitting, massively distorted synth chords running wild all over the mix. However, on the other side, Lem Lem's vocals are as ethereal as you could possibly imagine, allowing echoed auxiliary sounds to waft through the production work and balance everything out perfectly. It's very difficult to get these kinds of sonic polar opposites to mix well (oftentimes it's like oil and water), but Tev and Steven Sober have done it with style, and to top it all off , they've added in some clean guitar notes near the end as one last little flash of brilliance just to make sure people know exactly how much talent went into it all. We're impressed.
