This track isn't pop, and it's probably the farthest thing from it, actually, but the hip-hop beats that march their way through the smooth synth notes and funky production textures will have you hooked all the same. There are some vocals samples thrown in here and there to bring the sound to the forefront every once in a while, but "Snowed In" eventually settles into a hypnotic sound structure that never really cuts through the haze which Tetris Fingers layers over the entire thing. It's like you're listening to the song as it's being played in the background, except in this instance, there's nothing in the foreground to distract your attention. Just like fresh fallen snow absorbs sound waves to give the illusion that things are quieter then they are, so to does this song suck out all the intrusive elements of song production, and the end result is a track that effortlessly melts into the background, allowing you to enjoy the effort on a much more visceral level.
