If we had to pick an act to exemplify the new wave of pop music, Terror Jr would be high in the running for that spot. In case you aren't already aware, the trio consists of mysterious vocalist Lisa Terror, producer Felix Snow, and songwriter David Singervine, and they've been putting out some of the most progressive pop around since they began releasing music last year. Their first project, Bop City, was one of our favorites of 2016, and, now, they're back with one of our favorites of 2017, Bop City 2: TerroRising. Terror Jr has provided some of the wittiest, rawest, most sexually infused wordplay we've heard in the pop genre, and, when coupled with Felix's bubbly production, their songs end up being addictive overall. There's plenty of new content to dive into on their album here, and, although their signature bop is definitely present, there's also a diverse range of feels in play as well. Tracks like "Talking To Myself" and "Sweatpants" are gonna be in constant rotation for us, and more interesting ones like "Souls" show them successfully branching out with their sound. BC2 definitely lives up to our lofty expectations, and we're already excited to hear what's in store with BC3.
