It's finally come time for David Jones to release his first work of any significant length. After creating EPs for years, the electronic artist from Perth, Australia, has finally felt confident enough to release his sound in a wholesome way, and that confidence has led to this EP that has his name artistic name boldly attached to it. From the five tracks offered on Tenru's EP (the fifth is a bonus one that comes with purchases on Bandcamp), we've already featured the peppy, glorious-sounding "Oceans", and now with its brother works in tow, we're elated to feature efforts "Ever See", "Warm Welcome", and "Changing Koto" as well. With the first, we've a more hip-hop-oriented sound that mixes pretty electronic textures with fairly present drums; on the second , we've a slightly tropical feel that'll inspire dance and gorgeous imagery to go along with it; and finally, on the last, we've Tenru's most delicate sound yet: a very honest-sounding, slightly understated instrumental with intriguing percussive arrangements and outstanding keys and strings to boot. We're happy to see Tenru come out with something expressing a fuller-fleshed idea of his, and his self-titled EP is certainly one generating all of the vibes we've come to know and love him for.
