Mean Streets

Husband-and-wife team, Tennis, are like the Rodney Dangerfield's of indie music--for some reason, they just don't get enough respect. Their last album was a solid offering receiving only barebones coverage, but with a new EP on the horizon, Tennis is set to change the course of their usual, lackluster reception, and finally receive the attention they deserve. The first single to be exposed from their upcoming Small Sound EP is the infectious track, "Mean Streets", featuring the unmistakable, undeniably beautiful vocals of Alaine Moore, which, despite the talent and stylings of the band, is really their go-to feature. And she's definitely on her game with this one, dripping with emotion, weaving a story with a bit more punch, a bit more reverb, and pizzazz than we're used to from the duo. The one-up is a great addition to their sound, and should bring new fans flocking. Take the track for a spin below.
