When you take in this album at face value, you may think the most amazing thing about it is its features. The tracklist of Restoration Of An American Idol is truly a who's who of this moment in music with features from Jeremih, Mike Will Made-It, Kyle, Raury, Supa Bwe, Lil Yachty, and, of course, Taylor's brother, Chance. As you start the album, however, it soon becomes apparent that the amazing thing about it is its creator, Taylor Bennett. The 21-year-old rapper has matured into a beast of a songwriter. He is quick, smart, and versatile, and he gets the best out of his collaborators. If your response was lukewarm to his 2015 release, Broad Shoulders, then you should be pleasantly surprised by Restoration, as the young emcee has improved exponentially at his craft since.
